Stacy Bogdonoff is a studio artist working in metal, found objects, fabric, thread, paper, paint, dyes, and pigments.
Her studio is filled with pieces of rust, bristles from rotary street sweepers, chess pieces, broken fans, watch parts, springs, silk thread, burlap, rice paper, thrift store finds, spools of silver thread, and scraps of 24K gold.
Gold chain, tourmaline beads, and fine silver are as valuable as paper clips, lumpy clay marbles, and a lacy dried leaf.
The material drives the final form.
One technique leads to ten new ideas.
